ATTENTION ALL GRAD  STUDENTS!
Are you HUNGRY for more?
Then join UTMAGS at the Annual General Meeting for some pizza and discussion about what we can do to bring more to you!
When : June 24th 2016 from 11:30-1 pm
 
Where : Our fancy new grad lounge (DV 2068B)
UTMAGS is here to represent the grad students and expand the overall graduate experience at UTM… BUT we need your input into how to do so! we have some great ideas for some new things and also how to continue some things you’ve seen before. You asked for more than pancake breakfasts and we brought you fun catered lunches, you asked for a new grad lounge, we got us one, you asked for more networking/skill workshops and we worked with the career center to bring more. Now… what’s next? Like the 3MT event? Enjoyed the Annual Graduate Research Conference? Want to continue the ski trip? Like the Blind Duck for the Christmas Party? Let us know. We are here to listen to your concerns, because they are our concerns.
& even if everything is cool, come out and enjoy some free pizza, courtesy of UTMAGS!

Tremblant Ski and Snowboard Trip

The time has finally come to secure your spot on the annual UTMAGS ski and snowboard trip to Mont Tremblant! Spend three days in some the best snow conditions around and enjoy:
Snowboarding
Downhill and cross-country skiing
Snow-shoeing
All the restaurants and bars in the village
All the information required can be found on the poster below. To send trip payment, you can sent an Interac e-transfer to the UTMAGS email (utmags@utoronto.ca) or you can arrange to drop off a cheque in person by emailing UTMAGS, and we will arrange a date and time for you.

Family Care Advisor at UofT Mississauga

Date: May 26 (last advising day of the year)
Time: Appointments are available between 10 am and 3pm.

If you are seeking support and advice on any personal family matters, a family care advisor will be available on the UTM Campus to meet with students, staff and faculty for individual confidential consultations. Book an appointment to discuss the following:

  • Planning for a child, pregnancy, resources for new parents.
  • The University’s maternity / parental / adoption/primary caregiver leave policies.
  • Child care, schools & other programs for children.
  • Services and supports for an aging family member.
  • Balancing work, study & family.
  • Parenting strategies.
  • Bereavement resources.
  • Separation & divorce resources.

To book an appointment, please email family.care@utoronto.ca with the following information: your student or staff number, UofT employee group and/or your union affiliation if applicable, and a brief explanation of your enquiry.

Need a Babysitter?

We can help! The Family Care Office created an online Babysitter Listing to assist UTM staff, faculty, and student parents in finding casual child care. The babysitters, who are University of Toronto students or partners of, have a wide array of training and experience with children and child care and are available to babysit in Mississauga and Toronto. To access a directory of available babysitters please email us with your student or employee number at: family.care@utoronto.ca.
