UTGSU Informational Video on Post-residency Fees

The UTGSU has been campaigning for instituting Post-Residency Fees at U of T
for graduate students with a research component to their degree.

The term Post-Residency Fees often confuses members and we often get
questions, like: “Is UTGSU trying to institute a new fee for its members?” The
answer is, “No, not at all!” To clarify, the Civics Committee and the Research,
Education, Governance Committee of your Union have prepared a short

PfLAGS Workshop for Chemistry Grad Students

The Graduate Office has invited the American Chemical Society to give a two-
day workshop – Preparing for Life After Graduate School – on Monday, May 12 &
Tuesday, May 13 (from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).  The third day, May 14, will be
a resume review and practice interview of which we have limited time slots.
The workshop will be held in LM158, Lash Miller Building, 80 St. George Street.
Due to the nature of the workshop, students are required to attend the session
in person.

Chemistry Career Day 2014

Are you unsure of how to find a job that utilizes your unique chemistry
background? Are you graduating soon and thinking about your career options
Are you thinking about careers outside the world of research and development?
Are you looking to maximize your success in future job interviews and

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, we highly recommend that
you join us for out first annual Chemistry Career Day!  Chemclub has been
working with the CIC Toronto Section and the UofT Career Centre to organize
this event.

This event will take place on Friday April 25th, 2014 from 9AM-5PM in the
Davenport atrium. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Included in this
year’s event are:
